FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – [Thursday, August 4, 2022] The Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) is pleased to announce an official 2022 partnership with local sports app, OnTrack — founded by young Bermudian tech entrepreneurs, footballers and sports enthusiasts, Shannon Burchall and Roger Lee.

This agreement is an extension of a relationship that started in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic in an attempt to make the sport more accessible for all.

OnTrack will continue to be the Domestic League’s official resource for the full schedule of matches through the app, as well as their social media platforms and website. The app will allow users to stay updated with real-time cricket fixtures, results, team details, and statistics. This way, cricket fans will be able to stay on track with the matches even if they are unable to attend.

In addition, the BCB is excited to announce changes to the ‘Players of the Week’ awards for the upcoming ‘Athene T20 Cricket League’.

Players that have scored the most wickets and runs will be dubbed ‘Leading Wicket Taker’ and ‘Leading Run Scorer’ – receiving caps sponsored by Athene Life Re. and provided by OnTrack that will be worn to identify them during matches played the following week.

Peter Philpott, Cricket Committee representative, said: “The BCB Cricket Committee is proud to have OnTrack as partners once again, this year for the Athene T20 premier and first division league.

“With the addition of presenting cricket caps to the leading players, it is our intention to highlight the athletes that make an impact this season as we prepare for our 2023 international obligations.”

Shannon Burchall, said: “We are excited to continue this ongoing mutual relationship with the Bermuda Cricket Board for the 2022 cricket season.

“We appreciate their continuous support as we strive to be the source point for Bermuda’s scores, league stats and relevant information”.

The 2022 Athene T20 Cricket league will begin on Sunday, August 14.
